Minesweeper

Minesweeper is a classic puzzle game that has been entertaining players for decades. Developed by Robert Donner and Curt Johnson, the game was first released in 1989 as a part of the Microsoft Entertainment Pack for Windows.

To play Minesweeper, the objective is to clear a rectangular board containing hidden mines without detonating any of them. The game starts with a blank board, and players must use logic and reasoning to identify the safe squares. The game provides a few clues, such as the number of adjacent mines in each cell, to help players make informed decisions.

Players can navigate the board using the mouse or keyboard controls. To select a cell, click on it with the mouse or press the corresponding number key. Players can also use the toolbar to flag suspected mines, which are marked with a red flag. The game also provides a hint feature, which reveals a random cell on the board.

To increase your chances of winning, here are a few tips: start by clearing the edges of the board, as these are the safest areas. Use the process of elimination to identify the location of mines, and avoid making random guesses. If you do happen to detonate a mine, don't worry – the game will restart, and you can try again.
